One of the most exciting and beautiful sights I've ever seen are the Sand Hill Cranes during the mating season. I noticed them walking around about 30 feet ahead of me and as I raised my camera, they suddenly started their dance, flying up 3-5 feet in the air, circling and bowing to each other. Breathtaking!

We went to the Laurel Landfill in Venice the other day to see and photograph the eagles, but the nest was empty. I have a feeling the two baby eagles have fledged and have all probably migrated north for the summer ( Read more... )
